Comparison
Karya Falak vs Fergus
This page sets out Karya Falak vs Fergus for Australian trade businesses. Fergus is a job management app for tradies from New Zealand, with an Australian office in Woolloomooloo, Sydney, local support and links to more than 100 Australian suppliers such as Reece and Tradelink. It mostly serves crews of 1 to 20. Karya Falak is a newer Australian product built around a shared inbox and boards, priced per business with GST included. If your day revolves around supplier pricing and materials, Fergus’s supplier links are a real strength. If it revolves around answering customers and booking visits, read on. Checked 30 October 2026.
Who each one suits
Fergus suits an established trade business, such as a plumbing, electrical or HVAC company with a crew of up to about 20, that buys a lot of materials from Australian suppliers and wants those prices and invoices inside its job software. Fergus also offers Tap to Pay and has local support in Australia and New Zealand.
Karya Falak suits a team that wants every customer conversation in one place before it becomes a job. Email and web form enquiries arrive in a shared inbox and turn into cards on a board, and the card carries the quote, visits and invoice through to payment. It also fits businesses Fergus is not aimed at, such as IT services, hospitality and office teams.

Where Fergus is stronger
- Supplier links. Fergus syncs with more than 100 Australian suppliers, including Reece and Tradelink. If you price jobs from supplier catalogues, that saves real time. Karya Falak has no supplier links.
- Payment on site. Fergus Pay offers Tap to Pay on iPhone or Android. Karya Falak customers pay from the invoice link or the client hub.
- MYOB. Fergus connects to MYOB as well as Xero and QuickBooks.
- Staff time and contractors. Fergus has separate, cheaper user types for staff who only record time and for contractors paid by the day. Karya Falak records time on visits to put labour on invoices, but it is not a staff time-recording system.
- Built-in AI. Fergus markets AI assistants for admin. Karya Falak has no built-in AI, and works with your own Claude or ChatGPT through the connector.
- Size and local support. Fergus says more than 25,000 tradies use it and offers local support in Australia and New Zealand. Karya Falak is a newer Australian product.
Where Karya Falak is different
- Every enquiry in one inbox. Rather than a form that feeds a list, Karya Falak’s shared inbox holds the whole conversation, by email, web form, WhatsApp or SMS. Each conversation becomes a card your team assigns and finishes.
- Boards you design. Name and order the columns to match how you work, from New enquiry to Paid, and add fields that must be filled before a job is done.
- Online booking and a client hub. Customers can book a real free time, and each customer gets a client hub link with their quotes, visits and invoices.
- Pricing that is easy to predict. Two plans per business, GST included, plus field members. You can work out your monthly bill before you start.
- Automations on messages and cards. Rules can label, assign, move or reply when a message arrives, a quote is accepted or a visit is booked. See automations.
- Data in Sydney, with each business kept separate by the database itself.
Pricing: what to check
Fergus’s Australian pricing page shows Essentials from $53 a month and Professional from $77, with a limited offer of 90% off until December. The page does not say whether these prices are per user, or whether GST is included. Ask Fergus how many office and field users your team needs, what the price is after the offer ends, and whether GST is added.
Karya Falak’s price is two numbers: a plan and the number of field members. An office of two with five people on the road is Starter at A$49 plus 5 × A$9, GST included. The pricing page has more examples.
Moving from Fergus to Karya Falak
Export your customers, materials and jobs from Fergus as CSV files. In Karya Falak, open Settings, choose Import and select the Fergus preset. You see every row before anything changes, and you can undo the import for seven days. The preset was built from sample files, so start small and check the preview.
If you rely on supplier price files, keep your most-used items in Karya Falak’s price book as items and kits, with your cost and margin. Switch off Fergus’s accounting sync before connecting Karya Falak to the same Xero or QuickBooks file.
