Comparison

Karya Falak vs Simpro

Karya Falak vs Simpro is less a head-to-head than a question of size. Simpro (also written simPRO) was founded in Brisbane in 2002 and has grown into the Simpro Group, which also owns AroFlo, BigChange and ClockShark. It is built for service, maintenance and project contractors, covering quotes, scheduling, invoicing and stock, with a large partner marketplace. Karya Falak is a small, new Australian product for teams that want a shared inbox, boards, quotes, visits and invoices they can set up themselves. The two suit different businesses, and this page helps you tell which one you are. Checked 30 October 2026.

Who each one suits

Simpro suits a contractor with service, maintenance and project work at the same time: larger jobs that need stock, progress on projects and a back office that can spend time setting the system up. Its marketplace lets you add specialist tools as you grow, and it connects to MYOB as well as Xero.

Karya Falak suits a smaller team whose work is mostly service jobs and repeat visits, and whose biggest daily task is answering customers. You can sign up, import your contacts and send a quote the same day, without a sales call.

If you are not sure, ask yourself how much of your week goes on project and stock management compared with enquiries, quotes and visits. The more it is the first, the more Simpro’s depth is worth.

What we could check about Simpro

Simpro’s own website blocked our automated reading, so the facts about Simpro on this page come from its listings on the Xero App Store, the Simpro Marketplace and the Australian App Store, from AroFlo’s site and from Wikipedia. Where we could not confirm something, such as pricing or a free trial, we say so rather than guess. Ask Simpro directly for anything that matters to your decision.

Where Simpro is stronger

  • Depth for bigger contractors. Simpro handles service, maintenance and project work end to end, including stock. Karya Falak has no stock control and is not built for large projects.
  • A marketplace of add-ons. Specialist tools plug in through the Simpro Marketplace, which lists 33 apps in its customer service category alone.
  • MYOB. Simpro posts transactions to MYOB Business. Karya Falak works with Xero and QuickBooks only.
  • Two decades in Australia. Simpro has been building since 2002, and Wikipedia says it bought AroFlo and ClockShark in 2021 after a US$350 million funding round. Karya Falak is a newer Australian product.
  • A dedicated mobile app. Simpro Mobile is on the App Store today.

Where Karya Falak is different

  • Start today, on your own. No demo needed. Sign up, import your customers and price list, and send your first quote the same day.
  • Prices on the page. Two plans, GST included, and a set price per field member. You know the cost before you start.
  • Messages are the starting point. The shared inbox puts email, web form, WhatsApp and SMS enquiries on one board. Simpro adds WhatsApp through a partner app.
  • Built for more than trades. Business types change the words and starting columns, so an IT team sees tickets and requests, and a cleaning company sees properties and clients.
  • Data in Sydney. The database and files are kept in Australia.
  • Ask your own AI. The AI connector lets your own Claude or ChatGPT read the board and draft replies, with your permissions.

Signs you need the bigger system, or a lighter one

Most businesses can tell which side they are on from how a normal week goes.

  • You probably need Simpro’s depth if you track stock across vans and a warehouse, run multi-stage projects alongside service work, have someone whose job is running the system, or need many specialist add-ons.
  • A lighter tool is probably enough if most jobs are one or two visits, your real bottleneck is answering enquiries and chasing quotes, and nobody has weeks to spend setting software up.
  • Either could work if you are a growing service business planning to take on project work in the next year or two. Try the lighter tool first and note what you miss.

Questions to ask in a Simpro demo

  • What does it cost for my office and field team, and is there a setup or onboarding fee?
  • Is there a free trial, and can my team use it with our own data?
  • How long does setup usually take for a business our size?
  • Which features need a marketplace add-on, and what do those cost?
  • Does the Xero link send payments both ways?
  • Where is our data stored?

Moving from Simpro to Karya Falak

Export customers, materials and jobs from Simpro as CSV files, then import them in Settings using the simPRO preset. Every row is previewed, and you can undo the import for seven days. The preset was built from sample files, so check a small export first.

Karya Falak will not take over project or stock records. If those matter, keep them where they are, or stay with Simpro.

Questions

How much does Simpro cost?

Simpro does not show a price on its Xero App Store listing, and we could not read its own pricing page. Contact Simpro for a quote based on your team.

Is Simpro too big for a small business?

It depends on your work. Simpro is built for service, maintenance and project contractors. A small team doing mostly service jobs may find a simpler tool, such as Karya Falak, Tradify or ServiceM8, quicker to set up.

Do Simpro and AroFlo belong to the same company?

Yes. AroFlo, BigChange and ClockShark are part of the Simpro Group. See Karya Falak vs AroFlo.

Does Karya Falak handle stock?

No. Karya Falak keeps a price book of items, rates and kits with cost and margin, but it does not track stock levels.
